Sorry this copy did not have all the data you need. Here is a quick resource, hope this helps. This was in the 2006 Collision Industry Trends Report by the AAIA. Review the sources at the end and search those for further information.

Another good resource would be to see who has any of the older "Collision Repair Trends" publications that are printed by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry. I have a copy of 2006 laying in my office I will look to see what might be in there.

Ask Russell from the I-CAR Education Foundation, he also owns Collisionweek. He will have access to that info.

Jim, I would also check the research section at collisionweek.com. You may need a subscrition to view the content but they do regular reporting on a variety of shop statistics.

Jim, I would contact one of the major paint manufacturers. That would be a figure they would use often in their projections. Use Google and search for a marketing or training person.

Heard a comment from a supervisor at an insurance company, said that he talked to one of my I-CAR students and he told him that I had changed the way he thought about collision repair. I hope that's a good thing...

Hi Folks! One of my students has a problem. He needs stat's that reflect the differance in the number of shops 1975 to 2010 for his end of term presentation. We checked google,ask.com and wolfram to no avail. I hope someone out there can help! Thanks in advance...

The Auto Collision Club at Fox Valley Technical College restored, then donated a 1996 Plymouth Voyager to the Disabled American Veterans. Makes me proud to be their Instructor!
