Today is the 90th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, the legislation that gave women the right to vote! Think of how far we've come! 90 years ago women did not have the right to vote and today we can be painters, shop owners, engineers, and CEO's. Let's not forget those who came before us and remember to continue paving the way for those who follow! Go out and mentor, go out and educate, go out and vote! Stand up for your fellow ladies on the anniversary of such an empowering moment in our history as women!

If you need a little more firing up on this historic day check out Iron Jawed Angels, a phenomenal movie chronicling the struggle and ultimate success of American suffragettes!

Thank you for this reminder of the Suffragettes actions from so many years ago. Step by step,,, slowly we turn...
Thanks for the reminder, Liz!
Consider a trip to Seneca Falls, NY and the Women's Rights National Park to discover "How Five Women Changed The World"! Check out this wonderful celebration of the power of women to overcome centuries of cultural norms at: http://www.nps.gov/wori/index.htm. This is the location of the first Women's Rights Convention where Elizabeth Cady Stanton and four of her friends began the cutlural shifts that allow each of us to choose our path rather than having our path chosen for us!
Thanks for posting this. Change does not come easy.
Thanks for posting this. It's hard to believe that less than 100 years ago women did not have the legal right to vote. Thank God for those who came before us for their courage and bravery!
