About I-CAR

I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to training the collision inter-industry. Formed by the collision repair industry in 1979, all I-CAR activities, programs, services, and resources focus on supporting the auto collision repair industry to achieve a high level of technical knowledge through access to training.

In addition to developing and delivering technical training programs to professionals in all areas of the collision industry, I-CAR supports dialogue among those interested in issues related to proper collision repair and I-CAR’s training reaches a broad base of students within six inter-industry market segments who learn the latest methods of efficient, high-quality repair. Members of the following industries benefit from I-CAR training- Collision repair; insurance; vehicle manufacturers; education, training, and research; tool, equipment, and supply; and related industry services

The organization’s primary funding is derived from student tuition, with services and training content currently being delivered throughout the United States, as well as being licensed for distribution in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
