Job Description:
Using knowledge of collision repair processes, researches, develops and writes technical procedures, publications, and course material for I-CAR, the leading automotive collision training organization in the world. Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Obtains and interprets information from collision industry sources to develop material and videos for I-CAR. Assists in researching and responding to technical inquiries, postings on various I-CAR bulletin boards, and Instructor Technical Support Area. Works with other Instructional Designers to develop, review, and select post-test and instructor qualification test questions for I CAR training programs. Provides technical assistance to I-CAR Instructors and/or other collision industry affiliates.
Associate's degree (A. A.) or certificate in collision repair or vocational education desired. Two to three years prior work experience in some area of the collision industry desired. At least two years experience as a technical writer, instructional designer, collision repair vocational instructor, or industry trainer is helpful but not required.
