IE8 can be troublesome but let try an easy fix first. Go to the Internet Options under the Tools menu and set the Internet security to medium. That should let you download the RRW add-in for the browser. Once the add-in is installed it may need to be enabled. You will know this if the browser report "Server Not Found" or Add-in not enabled." You can also try the compatibility button which runs the browser as if it was an older version.
BTW, you might consider posting your question in the Computers in Collision Group so others can participate.

The backup Mitchell is referring to is the backup that was made during the last ABS version upgrade. It is typically in the same directory that contains ABS in a folder called Backup.

After I left AP, I went back to building streetrods and race cars for a while, then started running shops for other folks. 12 years ago, I took the plunge and went into business for myself. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.
