Hi! Welcome to Collision Hub!
Your comments on Lean and Six Sigma are certainly appropriate when you consider the past 10 years where the two philosophies have been combined. In the historical context, Lean was primarily pioneered by Toyota (TPS) over the past 40 years (the Lean name was actually spawned by James Womack in the early 90s) , and Six Sigma was a late 80s development of General Electric. Lean, for the Collision Repair Industry is intended to influence a number of business aspects including VOC, process speed, efficiency and error proofing and continual improvement.
