A little about my short time in the Collision Industry
I've been in the industry since 1974 going to Newton North High School Auto body program. Working as a helper from 1974-75 at Newton Chrysler Plymouth.
Leaving to be a tech at Perry Pontiac Cadillac till 1976.
I went back to Newton Chrysler Plymouth till 1978.
In November of 1978 I moved to San Diego CA to to see what all the fuss was about on the west coast. In one weeks time I was working full time at Morena Auto Body right outside from old town San Diego. Working there till 1981, I got tired of the west and came back east.
Going to work for a friend at Galaxy Auto body in Newton, till 1982.
I moved over to West End Chevrolet till 1984, when I got an opportunity to become a collision technology instructor, which I've been doing now for twenty five years at Medford Vocational Technical High School.
Since teaching I've become, a Member of Mass Auto body Association, NATEF, ASE, Fusor, I-CAR Platinum, PPG Master Certifications, 3M Trainer the Trainer Certification, SP/2 Collision Safety Training Administrator, Member of the Collision Repair Instructor Network(CRIN)and I-CAR Industry Training Alliance, US Air Force Outstanding Teacher Award 2004-08, Fender Bender Magazines Collision Technology Instructor of the year 2009.
We offer I-CAR classes once a month on Thursday nights for shop owners, technicians, painters and insurance company's, who want to keep up with new technology. Go to the I-CAR web site for dates and times.
Many of my students have become shop owners, Insurance adjusters, paint reps, inside sales, technicians and painters.
I love what I do and hopefully I can do it for a few more years.

I want to be a student in your program!
Rob
How do you want me to help - send some magazines or give you some names of mags in the UK? I only have voucher copies of the magazines I write for, so don't have spares unfortunately.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
The I-CAR Education Foundation will use all its resources to communicate the opportunities available to career and technical schools and colleges.
I will double check and make sure you are included in their lists, sorry for any inconvenience.
