Collision Industry Foundation Needs Your Help

The Collision Industry Foundation is putting out a call to all members of the collision industry to help in its charitable work on behalf of the collision industry in 2010. There are two projects this year that have touched the hearts of the trustees, but we need participation of the entire industry.

CIF is trying to raise money for food banks around the country. We were told by Gerry Brisson of Gleaners Food Bank that $1 can feed a family of four. During the month of November, shops are being asked to volunteer time at a local food bank. They will be asked to log the time at www.collisionindustryfoundation.com and then will receive a donation from the foundation to their local food bank. Shops can also order Shops Against Hunger logos to collect $1 from each customer for the project and display them in their customer waiting rooms for others to see.

Recycled Rides is an NABC program that matches needy families with refurbished vehicles that have been repaired by local collision shops. It is an inter-industry cooperative effort that involves all members of the industry from insurers to vendors to shops. The Collision Industry Foundation is helping families pay their title fees this year.

The Foundation is holding its first gala fundraising event this year at NACE on Sunday, October 10th. Details about the event can be found at http://ciffundraiser.eventbrite.com/ If you would like to attend, you are welcome, if you cannot attend and would like to donate to the Foundation, you can donate at the Eventbrite site or at www.collisionindustryfoundation,com

One of the best things about our industry is its big heart. Please help us help those less fortunate than ourselves. The Collision Industry Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not for profit foundation serving the charitable conscience of the collision industry.
