Everyday I'm amazed of by the statements made by others and how they allow themselves to live in a world of limited possibility. So often we get stuck in the rut of status quo: 1) It's always been done that way, 2) That's just the way it is, 3) There is no way to do that, and the list goes on. When I hear comments like that I wonder why people are so willing to just allow things be as they may.
Here are a few questions to consider:
1) Why not believe that all things are possible?
2) What will happen when you challenge others?
3) What do you fear?
Let me try and put this on the context of the collision repair industry by providing some possible answers to the above questions.
1) We can serve more than one customer! Both the vehicle owner and the insurance company can have a wonderful experience at my repair facility.
Vehicle Owner will experience
- Professionalism
- A friendly environment
- Over-communication to facilitate clarity and understanding
- A sense of relief and confidence that they made the right choice
- We will solve any issues around: Time, Transportation, and Money
- We will be thankful to serve them and appreciate they do have a choice
- Will will always do the right thing
- We will warranty our product for a lifetime
Insurance Company
- Professionalism
- A friendly environment
- Over-communication to facilitate clarity and understanding
- We will be thankful to serve them and appreciate they do have a choice
- We will warranty our product for a lifetime
- We will support their policy requirements
2) I can assure you that nothing will happen if you don't challenge others. If you do, you might create an awareness that drives change, you might get what you ask for.
3) I fear accepting that the truth of today will be tomorrow's truth.
The answers I provided are clearly one possibility, there are endless possibilities to all the questions. Expand your beliefs and be open to a new TRUTH, and be willing to accept that tomorrow they might be lies.
Make it a great day!
